Last weekend saw Oban bathed in sunshine with the familiar view of McCaigs tower glorious in spring weather.  This weekend brings two musical events to this west coast town,  Oban Live a 2 day event in Mossfield stadium, bringing together a fantastic line up of talent such as Skerryvore, Toploader, Hue and Cry and Manran and young local talents including Skippinish, Ceol an Aire, Argyll Ceilidh Trail and Oban High School Pipe Band.  This promises to be a great event right in the centre of the town.  On the more traditional side Oban hosts its provincial Mod, supported by An Comunn Gàidhealach,  with competitions running at venues throughout the town on Friday and Saturday- from instrumental to choral competitions, two busy days will be had promoting the Gaelic language and culture, showcasing local and visiting talent.  With so much on offer from a musical and cultural perspective, during your stay at Lagganmore House you will be spoiled for choice for events to attend apart from the usual tourist attractions such as McCaigs tower, Dunollie castle, The Sea Life centre to name but a few.
